The picturesque village of Wickham
Posted on February 28th, 2015
Wickham, formerly spelled Wykeham, is a small historic village and civil parish in Hampshire, located about three miles north of Fareham. The centre of Wickham is focused on its wide and well-proportioned square, which is lined with historic buildings and is designated a conservation area.
You can purchase almost anything in Wickham as there is a very handy house wares shop at the end of the square. However, on my recent visit I needed something more substantial. A customer had contacted me to ask for the repair of her electric fence which her ponies had chewed through so off I went to Wickham to purchase an energiser to repair the fence. All quite simple but who would have thought that this picturesque village would have such a thing. Many thanks Mole Country Stores, formally SCATS.
