Check before you buy

Posted on April 7th, 2017

Many purchasers mistakenly believe that the survey on a property they are buying will check the condition of the electrical system.  This can prove to be a costly mistake.

Having the electrics checked on a home you are looking to purchase before you buy can save you money especially if the property was built some time ago as the electrics may not have been kept in good order.

A pre-purchase electrical inspection on the property you intend to buy will let you know the condition of the electrical system.  This may or may not affect your decision to continue with the purchase but at least you will know what you are buying!

Summer rush to upgrade electrics

Posted on July 30th, 2015

Well I haven’t had time to do a blog recently, we have been really busy with lots of customers wanting to upgrade their electrics; taking advantage of the good weather recently. We have even been over to the Isle of Wight to install a new consumer unit, lights and sockets.  You would be surprised at the condition of some of them and it is good to know that families see the importance of having safe electrics, especially when young children or babies are crawling around.  The picture below shows are definite no-no; up lighters in the bathroom!

We currently have work on the go in Winchester and 3 separate jobs in Southampton so we will be busy for the foreseeable future.
